AUTOMATED MEMORY CHECKS IN DOS 5
+--------------------------------+
This saves me a lot of time trying to remember "just what was in those
boot files, anyway". Type "M" to run the memory check. You'll be prompted
for a unique filename for saving the check. Please use the suggested format
for your saved memory check files of "MEMORY[##].###" so that you will be able
to automatically review these saved files later.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Type "REVIEW" any time you want to see the saved memory check files that
you have named by above standard format.
Copy the files to your C drive root directory when you install my program.
They must be in your Path, and you can edit out the "REM" in REM C:\BIN line
in M.BAT if you would prefer to keep files in another directory in your Path
like \BIN, or \BATCH.
- Bob Gries
P.S. You can also delete the Ansi sequences from M.BAT if you don't have
ANSI.SYS loaded as a device in your CONFIG.SYS file. They look like this:
Esc[0;46;30m always ending in an "m". Use TED.COM, my personal text editor
in which I am composing this document to make any changes like this to M.BAT.
(Back up any files before you change them.)
